  • Reset NVRAM or PRAM: Press the Power button and then immediately press & hold the Alt key, Command, P, and R keys. Hold the keys for 20 seconds and even if your Mac restarts. If a sound is heard, release the keys after you hear it for the second time. Now you will find the basic settings like time zone or volume level might need adjusting.
